About VELRI
We make with nature, never over it.
VELRI is a handmaker's practice built around one belief: a pearl does not need to become more perfect. It needs to be seen more closely.
Every baroque pearl carries a history that cannot be repeated.
Its shape, surface, markings and iridescence were formed slowly by conditions that will never occur in exactly the same way again. That is why no two VELRI pieces can be identical—and why we never try to make them so.
The maker studies each pearl before beginning. Its natural outline determines the balance of the design; its light suggests where colour belongs; its irregularities decide what should remain untouched. The process asks for patience, restraint and the willingness to change the design when the pearl asks for something different.

The maker's commitment
To protect what makes each pearl itself.
We do not sand away difference, force a standard silhouette or copy a finished design onto the next pearl. We work one piece at a time, adding crystal, metal and colour with care until the natural form feels more expressive—not less natural.
This is slower than repetition. It is also the only way we know to make an object that feels genuinely alive.
