My belief
We do not ask a pearl to be perfect.
A baroque pearl records the conditions in which it grew. Its uneven edge, quiet marks, changing lustre and unexpected silhouette are not flaws to be erased. They are proof that it could only have happened once.
I begin by observing rather than correcting. Each pearl is turned in changing light, its contours followed by eye and hand, and colour is added only where it helps the natural form feel more alive. We never force two pearls to look the same, because difference is not a problem to solve—it is the reason the work exists.
